Unlike many others, medicine was not a childhood dream. Camila did not grow up influenced by family members in the healthcare field; in fact, her family’s interests were strongly connected to sports, especially volleyball.
Over time, she genuinely discovered her purpose in caring for people. This path led her to face a major challenge: earning a place at one of the best medical university in Brazil, something that once seemed distant for someone coming from a small town like Otacílio Costa, in Santa Catarina, with just over 15,000 inhabitants.
She graduated from the Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM), in Rio Grande do Sul, where she experienced one of the most transformative periods of her education.
Who is
Camila Silveira.
Between 2013 and 2015, during medical school, she was awarded a scholarship for an international exchange program, which took her to Flinders University in Adelaide, South Australia. Living abroad, overcoming the language barrier, and adapting to a new culture awakened in her a special sensitivity toward welcoming international patients, something that has now become a defining aspect of her care.
After returning to Brazil, she found in Gynecology and Obstetrics a specialty that reflects her view of life: a field that, most of the time, accompanies moments of joy and hope. She completed her medical residency in Curitiba, where she consolidated her training with excellence. Later, she moved to São Paulo to further deepen her knowledge and specialized in Assisted Reproduction, an area for which she is deeply passionate.
